ASUS announced some neat tech at Computex 2024

Computex 2024 is going on, and top brands are showing off their latest devices and future products. Currently, it’s the first day of the event, and we’re already seeing some exciting devices being presented. ASUS is one of the companies present, and it has some treats for people into computers and other devices. ASUS announced some neat new tech at Computex.

If you’re interested in all things computer, then you’ll want to keep an eye open for all of the exciting announcements happening at Computex. The event will run from Monday, June 3rd to Friday, June 7th. You never know if your favorite company could be announcing something at the event. Expect to hear about new chips, gear, and AI stuff!

Here’s what ASUS announced at Computex

ASUS is a pretty big company in the computer industry, so we’re not surprised to see it stop by for a visit. Starting off with ASUS’ announcements, we got a look at the company’s new ProArt devices.

ProArt P16

As the name implies, this is a very creator-focused computer. It comes with a gorgeous 16-inch 4K display that’s perfect for content creation. It’s an OLED panel that can reach up to 500 nits of peak brightness. So, you might want to avoid creating outside. In any case, it’s still a great display.

Video creators should love this computer because, along with the 4K resolution, this computer comes with up to 2TB of onboard storage to store all of your video files.

Powering this computer, the most powerful model will sport a powerful AMD Ryzen Processor. This is accompanied by an NVIDIA RTX 4070 Laptop GPU. Backing that up, you have up to 64GB of RAM.

ProArt PX13

This is a computer that still delivers some serious power while prioritizing portability. It has a smaller screen than the ProArt P16, so it will be easier to pack away. It’s rather thin at only 15.3mm thick and it only weighs 1.38kg.

What makes this computer convenient is the fact that the screen can rotate a full 360°. So, you can flip the screen all the way around and use the computer as a tablet. It also allows you to use it in tent mode. The screen itself has a crisp 3K resolution. It’s a Lumia OLED panel, so you can expect some great visuals.

You’re still getting some powerful AMD CPUs with this computer along with an NVIDIA RTX 4070 Laptop GPU.

ProArt PZ13

Those who want a true 2-in-1 computer with a detachable keyboard. This isn’t for people who want unparalleled power, but this computer still has some heat behind it. It’s using a modern Snapdragon computer processor, so you should expect efficiency and top-tier portability. In fact, it’s only 9mm thick. To put that into perspective, that’s about the thickness of some thicker smartphones.

This computer has a 13.3-inch OLED screen with a 3K resolution. So, you’ll enjoy consuming content on it. If you’re an artist who likes to paint or draw, this computer is compatible with the ASUS Pen 2.0.

If you’re worried about durability, the ProArt PZ13 has an IP52 water and dust resistance rating along with a MIL-STD 810H durability rating. So, you shouldn’t have to worry about bringing this tablet out with you for some creating on the go.

ASUS Zenbook S 16

Zenbook fans, get ready for the next generation. The Zenbook S 16 is the latest model from the company, and it brings some serious power. It has a large 16-inch OLED display with a 3K resolution. The screen is nice, as it has a 16:10 contrast ratio and a 550-nit peak brightness.

Powering this computer, it uses the latest AMD Razen Strix Point Series R9 CPU along with and integrated AMD Radeon GPU. This is backed up by up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 2TB of PCle 4.0 SSD storage. So, it will have enough power for whatever you need to get done.

This computer promises up to 12 hours of battery life on a single charge. However, your mileage will vary depending on the kind of stuff you’re doing on it.

Along with the hardware, this computer also comes with ASUS’ AiSensec camera, Two-Way AI noise cancelation, and other software features.

ASUS Vivobook S 15

Rounding out the list of computers, there’s the ASUS Vivobook S 15. This is the computer to get if you want to add some powerful AI prowess to your workflow. This is the first Copilot+ PC from ASUS. This means that it comes with Microsoft Copilot deeply integrated into the software. You’ll be able to use AI tools by pressing the dedicated Copilot button on the keyboard. It will pull up Copilot.

Powering this computer, we have a powerful Snapdragon X Elite processor. This should offer some serious power and efficiency. Backing it up, there’s up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.

As for the display, this computer has a 15.6-inch 3K OLED display with a fluid 120Hz refresh rate. So, everything you do on the computer will look great.

Azoth Extreme keyboard

If you’re a gamer, then you might want to know about this keyboard. ASUS makes gaming devices under its ROG series of devices, so the company knows how to develop powerful keyboards.

The Azoth Extreme keyboard has a carbon fiber plate inside that can be raised or lowered. This will affect how rigid the keys feel. This is a way for you to customize the keyboard.

The Azoth Extreme is a hot-swappable keyboard so you’re able to bring your own switches if you don’t like the ones that come on it.

At the top right of the keyboard, there’s a little OLED panel that can show images and play animations. Along with that, the keyboard can also show you stats about your keyboard or your computer. This is an easy and convenient way of looking into your computer.
