Sony announced two new smartphones yesterday. The devices in question are the Sony Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI, and the company followed that up with a bunch of promo videos. Before we get into it, do note that the Xperia 1 VI is the company’s new flagship handset. The Xperia 10 Vi, on the other hand, is a budget offering from Sony.
The official Sony Xperia 1 VI & Xperia 10 VI promo videos are now out
The company actually shared 9 official videos for the two phones, across two YouTube channels. Those videos went out via ‘Sony Xperia’ and ‘Sony Europe’ YouTube channels, and all of them will be embedded below the article.
The very first video down there is actually the announcement of the two phones. The event was held in Japan, Sony’s homeland. It’s in Japanese, but there are English subtitles included, so you can follow along if you want. The event has a duration of less than half an hour, so it’s not exactly too long.
Following that, you’ll spot five Xperia 1 VI-focused videos. Some of them have a duration of less than a minute, while others go on for a couple of minutes. Some are focused on the design of the device, while others on its features. They do share a ton of information, and Sony did a nice job of filming them.

You’ll see plenty of camera features highlighted in the ‘Introducing the Sony Xperia 1 VI – Pro level camera, with power’ video, which has a heavy focus on the features the phone has to offer. Features like ‘Eye auto focus’ and ‘Creative look’ are briefly shown, amongst others.
The Xperia 1 VI is both wider and shorter this time around, as Sony decided to change the display aspect ratio. The phone also comes with a fullHD+ display this time around, and not a 4K unit.
Following the Xperia 1 VI promo videos below, you’ll see three Xperia 10 VI. They depict the company’s new mid-range Android handset. The first video is the general promo videos, the second focuses on what the phone has to offer feature-wise, and the third one is the official unboxing of the phone.
