Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 pro review AM AH 08

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Buds 3 pair of wireless earbuds have been the subject of a number of leaks and reports lately. The wearable will be the successor to the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, which was launched back in 2022. Recent leaks have indicated that the company will also launch the more affordable Galaxy Buds 3 variant alongside the Pro model. Ahead of the launch, the Galaxy Buds 3 is certified by a Brazilian certification agency.

The Galaxy Buds 3 is certified by the Brazilian certification agency Anatel

Before launching commercially, all electronic devices must clear necessary approval from regulatory agencies of their target market. The Galaxy Buds 3 has been approved by the Brazilian regulatory authority Anatel. This suggests that the company will launch the wireless earbuds in the country.

The wearable is certified under the model number SM-R530. The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro could also get approval soon. The rumored model number of the Pro variant is SM-R630. For those unaware, the Anatel certification doesn’t reveal anything about the specifications of a device it’s approving.

The Buds 3 could sport improved audio quality and enhanced battery life

The Galaxy Buds 3 will launch more than two years after the Galaxy Buds 2, the more affordable variant of the Buds 2 Pro. The latter saw the light of day in August 2022. The new Buds 3 could offer an improved audio listening experience. The device will offer active noise cancellation to keep the surrounding noises at bay. Samsung will likely offer AI-centric features like on-device real-time translation on the Buds 3 Pro model only.

The wearable could also provide an improved IP67 rating for better resistance against the water. We can also expect the Buds 3 to deliver higher battery life than its predecessor. The Galaxy Buds 2 is touted to last five hours on a single charge with ANC turned on. The upcoming Galaxy Buds 3 is not expected to come with wireless charging capabilities.

Samsung is reportedly holding its second Unpacked event of 2024 in Paris on July 10. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 foldable smartphones will be the stars of the show. The Galaxy Buds 3 and 3 Pro earbuds and the brand’s first smart ring could also tag along with the flagship phones.
