GeForce NOW comes in hot for February with Diablo IV

Diablo IV on GeForce NOW

It’s an excellent week to be a GeForce NOW subscriber because this week, NVIDIA is adding Diablo IV to the list of playable games. You’ll need to own this game on Steam if you want to stream it over the cloud, as GeForce NOW compatibility does not support the Battlenet version. Or Battlenet at all for that matter. Having said that, if you picked up Diablo IV when it launched on Steam then you’re in luck. Because you can now play it in more places than ever before.

Diablo IV is Blizzard’s latest game in the series and is probably its best Diablo title to date. It has a campaign that’s well worth playing and if you love the grind for ever-stronger loot, you can dive into the seasonal content once the campaign is finished. Diablo IV is currently going through season 3 titled Season of the Construct, which just launched. So there’s plenty to do in-game. Only now you can play it on your phone if you want. Diablo IV also has excellent controller support. Making it a perfect candidate for GeForce NOW mobile users.

Diablo IV isn’t the only Blizzard game dropping on GeForce NOW this week

Diablo IV is actually one of two Blizzard games coming to the service today. With Overwatch 2 being the other game you can now stream. Slowly but surely NVIDIA is adding more and more of Activision Blizzard’s games into the mix. And it’s been a long time coming since they were available on the service once before. In fact, the games were pulled almost exactly four years ago. GeForce NOW staff took to the community forums on February 11, 2020, to tell subscribers that Activision Blizzard games were being pulled per Activision’s request.

And here we are years later with some games coming back. For fans of these games, this is excellent news. But it’s not all about Activision Blizzard this week as there are more games to enjoy. Both Rage and Rage 2 are joining the service as well. As is Bang-On-Balls: Chronicles. All of these games are Steam-only versions that are supported. Except for Rage 2, which you can also own on Epic and Xbox.

The service turns four years old this month

It’s hard to believe, but GeForce NOW is turning four. Time flies when you’re having fun they say. To celebrate, NVIDIA is launching a month-long campaign for its 4th anniversary. It doesn’t give out any specific details on what the celebration may include. But it wouldn’t be surprising if NVIDIA tossed out a few juicy nuggets of rewards at some point. NVIDIA does encourage users to follow the official GeForce NOW accounts that have just launched on Instagram and Threads though. So perhaps in the days and weeks ahead, there will be something shared on social that users will want to participate in.

Plus, February has lots of other games to look forward to. NVIDIA says that many of them are day-and-date releases which means they land on GeForce NOW the day they launch on PC. This includes games like Skull and Bones which comes out on February 16, and Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster which launches on February 28. If you’ve not tried GeForce NOW yet, you should. It’s currently our favorite way to play games in the cloud.
