Huawei announced its new flagship smartphone series quite recently in China. We were waiting for more information on their global variants, and we just got it. Huawei announced that the global Pura 70 units are now available to pre-order.
Global Huawei Pura 70 models have landed, including the ‘Ultra’ unit
Huawei announced four smartphones as part of this series in China. Three of those three phones have made it to global markets, the Huawei Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro, and the Pura 70 Ultra.
Starting today, those three phones are up for pre-order overseas, including Europe. Regular sales will commence starting from May 22, in case you were wondering. We presume that the pre-orders are valid until then.
Huawei was also kind enough to share the European price tags with us. The Huawei Pura 70 comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and it’s priced at €999. The Huawei Pura 70 Pro comes in that very same setup, and it costs €1,199.
The ‘Ultra’ model will set you back €1,499
The company’s top-end flagship is the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra. That phone comes with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage in a global version, and it will set you back €1,499 should you choose to buy it. Huawei did not mention what color options will be available (globally) for either model, though.
Based on the images that the company shared, though, the Pura 70 and Pura 70 Pro come in Black and White colors. The ‘Ultra’ model will seemingly be available in Black, Green, and Brown colors. The ‘Ultra’ model is the only one that has vegan leather on the back.
All three of these phones are quite powerful, but the ‘Ultra’ model definitely takes the cake. It has the most powerful camera setup out of all these devices, and it also comes with a very nice vegan leather finish. On top of that, it’s fueled by the Kirin 9010, Huawei’s new processor.
The company’s most powerful smartphone has a truly compelling camera setup
The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra has a triple camera setup on the back, and all three are compelling, but the main is especially interesting. It’s a retractable camera with a 1-inch camera sensor, sensor-shift OIS, and variable aperture.
The phone’s telemacro camera also looks great on paper and even its ultrawide shooter. A 6.8-inch display is used here, and it has an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It’s an LTPO OLED panel, of course.
