How to watch the OpenAI event

We’ve been eagerly awaiting OpenAI’s big tech event, and speculating about what the company is going to announce. Well, that wait is going to draw to an end. Here’s how to watch the OpenAI event happening today.

How to watch the OpenAI event

If you want a front-row seat to watch the event, there are two ways to watch it. For starters, the event is going to be happening at 1:00 p.m. EST (10:00 a.m. PST). It’s going to be a live-streamed event, and you can either watch it on OpenAI.com or through the official OpenAI YouTube channel.

We’re not sure how long the event is going to be, but we don’t really expect it to be more than an hour. OpenAI hasn’t had too many live events, so we don’t have a good estimation of what kind of time frame we’re looking at.

What is the company going to announce?

At this point, there are no specific details as to what we should expect. Previously, we speculated that the company was going to announce its long-rumored search engine. However, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman dispelled that rumor. He also said that the company is not going to announce GPT-5.

So, with those two out of the question, we all have to wonder what else the company could announce. While OpenAI is not going to announce the latest version of its GPT model, the company did say that it will announce some updates to ChatGPT and GPT-4.

Other than that, we have no idea. It doesn’t seem likely that the company would have an entire event dedicated to only posting updates to ChatGPT and GPT-4. However, during a recent interview, Sam Altman did state the importance of launching updates quickly and often. So, each update can’t be game-changing.

The only difference is that this update involves an entire live-streamed event. So, we expect there to be some major changes to ChatGPT and GPT-4. Also, there’s no telling if the company will mention Sora, DALL-E, or any other AI product.

If you’re excited about the event, and you’re going to watch it on YouTube, make sure you click on the Notify me button. Otherwise, you can go to OpenAI.com and wait for the show to begin.
