The Huawei P70 series is seemingly delayed. According to a new tip by Digital Chat Station, the Huawei P70 series will arrive a bit later than we thought. The good news is that the phones are likely not delayed by much.

The devices were expected to arrive by the end of March or in early April. The tipster did not say by how much did Huawei push back the launch, but we don’t think it’s by much. If we had to guess, we’d say the Huawei P70 series will launch at the end of April or in May.

He also did not specify why the company decided to postpone the launch. There could be a ton of reasons, ranging from troubles with mass production to issues on the software side of things and optimizations. Who knows.

The Huawei P70 series is expected to arrive in three variants. The Huawei P70, Huawei P70 Pro, and Huawei P70 Art are the expected models. They are expected to come with an upgraded Kirin chip, not the Kirin 9000S.

The Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ is considered to be one of the best camera smartphones around

Needless to say, the cameras on the back of these phones will once again be in focus. The Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ is now leading DXOMARK’s camera rankings, alongside the OPPO Find X7 Pro.

The expectations are quite high for the Huawei P70 series. Huawei will allegedly use either the OmniVision OV50H or Sony IMX989 sensor as the main camera sensor on the phone. In addition to that, variable aperture is expected, most likely a 10-stop aperture.

That, mixed with Huawei’s camera software, sounds very promising. Huawei continued producing outstanding cameras even after it parted ways with Leica. It has its own branding now, XMAGE.

Other cameras on the phone are also expected to be quite powerful, and that goes for the phone’s internals in general.
