The Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max will get a size increase, that much we do know. Several trusted sources confirmed as much thus far. The phone will feature a 6.9-inch display, compared to a 6.7-inch one on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max size gets shown next to its predecessor
Having said that, a tipster, Majin Bu, just shared pictures of the iPhone 16 Pro Max dummy next to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This dummy unit is, allegedly, the exact size the actual phone will be. If you check out the gallery below, you’ll see three images that show us the difference.
The size difference is easily visible here. It’s not major, as the difference is 0.2 inches in terms of display size, but it is easily noticeable. The iPhone 16 Pro Max will be both taller and wider than its predecessor. The iPhone 16 Pro Max is already a huge device, so keep that in mind.
One of the images even shows us the rumored ‘Capture Button’ on the right-hand side. The overall design of the iPhone 16 Pro Max won’t change much, by the way. That’s also something several credible sources said thus far.
Apple is rumored to be using BRS tech in order to reduce bezel thickness
Apple is expected to utilize the Border Reduction Structure (BRS) tech in order to thin down the bezels even more, though. Even though that tech is allegedly causing problems for Apple, during production, it should keep the size of the phone in check, to a degree.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max will launch in September, and it is not the only iPhone 16 model that will offer a larger display. The iPhone 16 Pro will also ship with a larger panel. The vanilla models will keep their display sizes.
Apple’s new flagship is tipped to include a better camera setup on the back. A 1/1.14-inch main camera sensor is tipped, compared to a 1/1.28-inch unit included in the iPhone 15 Pro Max. We may see hardware improvements in the other two cameras too, only time will tell.
