Samsung‘s One UI 6.1 update has landed on a few more Galaxy devices in the US. The Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, and Galaxy S21 FE are the latest recipients of the new One UI version. The company previously updated its fourth and fifth-gen foldables and all other eligible S series flagships (launched in 2021 and beyond).

Samsung has been pushing One UI 6.1 to eligible Galaxy devices since the end of March. It first updated the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, and Galaxy Tab S9 series. The company extended the rollout to cover other eligible flagships at the start of May. Following an international release, the update reached the US last week. The US versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are now getting it.

The One UI 6.1 update is currently available for the carrier-locked variants of the 2021 foldable duo. The new firmware build numbers are F926USQU5IXDB and F711USQU6IXDB, respectively. As expected, the foldables aren’t getting many AI features with this update. Samsung is only pushing Circle to Search, which is essentially a Google feature. It lets you run a Google search for anything on the screen by drawing a circle around it.

Like the Galaxy S21 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 have missed out on Galaxy AI due to compatibility issues. The only other AI feature mentioned in Samsung’s official changelog is the AI-powered edit suggestions for photos. “Get special AI recommendations for enhancing your photos and videos. You’ll find options for adding star trails, colorizing, and more. Suggestions appear when you tap the ‘i’ button in Gallery,” the company explains.

However, the foldables are also receiving other features like the ability to move subjects from one image to another, wallpaper customizations, new lock screen widgets, improved multitasking, enhanced Samsung Health, and more. Samsung has kept the duo at the April security patch, though. It didn’t bundle the May release with One UI 6.1. The devices should get the latest security patch with a separate update in a few weeks.

Galaxy S21 FE has also started receiving the update

The Galaxy S21 FE is another Samsung smartphone getting One UI 6.1 in the US. The updated build number for the phone is G990USQUAGXDE. The Fan Edition (FE) model hasn’t received this update anywhere else. However, it shouldn’t be long before Samsung takes the update global. As expected, the Galaxy S21 FE also misses out on Galaxy AI, including CIrcle to Search and AI edit suggests.
