ASUS ROG Ally Ryzen Z1 Deal

The ASUS ROG Ally is one of my absolute favorite pieces of gaming tech from the past year, and right now you can pick up the Ryzen Z1 model for $200 off with this deal over at Best Buy. This model of the handheld regularly costs $599. But Best Buy has it right now for $399.

This isn’t the first time that the Ryzen Z1 model of the ROG Ally has been on sale. It was down to $399 about a month ago. It’s back down to this price which is a deal I definitely wouldn’t pass up. The ROG Ally is a handheld gaming PC that runs on Windows 11, which means you can use it to install games from any PC gaming store out there. Battlenet, Steam, Ubisoft Connect, the Epic Games Store, you name it. All of these can be installed on Windows 11 so you can install them on the ROG Ally.

But this is just a nice perk of the handheld. What makes this thing so awesome is that you can have a way to play PC games in a compact, portable manner. If you’ve never played games on a handheld before, you’re missing out. While I don’t always prefer to play PC games on a handheld, it’s an awesome way to experience them. The ROG Ally makes it possible for you to play your games anywhere you like when you’re away from your main PC. It’s super convenient for moving your game session to the couch or even playing in bed before you go to sleep. Because sometimes you just want to game comfortably.

In terms of specs and performance, the ROG Ally Z1 comes with a 7-inch 120Hz display with 1080p resolution, and there’s 512GB of storage so there’s loads of room for games. 512GB can fill up pretty fast though, so I highly recommend picking up a microSD card to use as expandable storage. The ROG Ally also supports Dolby Atmos, and it comes with a free three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
