Lenovo has launched its first laptops powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite chipset. They come under the Yoga and ThinkPad series and start at $1,199, boasting powerful specs and elegant designs. Additionally, using ARM chipsets will allow them to offer superior battery life compared to traditional x86 chips.
These are the Snapdragon X Elite-powered Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x and ThinkPad T14s Gen 6
First is the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x, the most “affordable” model at $1,199. This laptop stands out for its ultra-thin design with only 12.9 mm of thickness. It also has a 14.5-inch OLED screen that reaches 1,000 nits of brightness, which offers more visibility even in bright sunlight. Its main focus is to offer productivity and comfort wherever you are. The 90 Hz refresh rate on the panel adds smoothness to the user experience.
In addition to its Snapdragon X Elite chipset, there is also up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of storage. There are 3x full-functional USB-C ports, even supporting video output. This is necessary since the laptop sacrifices all other ports in favor of its thinness. The Slim 7x will be available in a single color: Cosmic Blue.
On the other hand, the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 has a more robust design. It includes a 14-inch screen that can be OLED or IPS. This model includes more ports, having 2x full-size USB, 2x USB-C, 1x 3.5mm audio jack, and 1x dedicated HDMI port. Its Snapdragon X Elite chipset is accompanied by up to 64 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of storage. This model starts at $1,699 and will be available in Eclipse Black.
You’ll be able to buy Lenovo’s first Snapdragon X Elite-powered laptops starting in June. They will be available both on the company’s website and through authorized suppliers. Finally, the company will ship them in plastic-free packages in an effort to reduce its carbon footprint.
