Microsoft announced the new Surface Pro computers

It appears that Microsoft has revamped its line of Surface Pro devices. This year around, the new Surface Pro didn’t come with a number like previous iterations. This points to the fact that the company wants to completely reboot this series with a completely new mentality. This makes sense, as this is the first surface computer to come out with such a heavy emphasis on AI technology.

Just like what we saw with the Galaxy Book4 Edge computers, Microsoft included a dedicated Copilot key on the keyboard. This will quickly open the Copilot chatbot which will allow you to use Copilot without any delay.

In terms of design, it’s pretty similar to previous generations. In fact, it’s just about the same size as the last iteration. Coming in at about 2lb, the new Surface Pro has a decent weight. It’s going to go up against the latest MacBook computers.

Obviously, Copilot will be integrated deeply with the software. We’re certain that Microsoft will unveil an updated version of Windows 11 that will have AI built into it.

Specs

As for the internals, the new Surface Pro comes with the new Snapdragon X Plus processor for the base model and the Snapdragon X Elite for a more powerful model. Microsoft boasts that this is nearly double the speed of the previous generation. It’s using ARM-based chips, so we’re just going to have to see if these computers live up to the hype when it comes to performance.

Backing up the processor, the computer starts with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This model comes with an LCD display and it starts at $999.

However, if you want a more powerful version of the computer, you’ll need to opt for the Snapdragon X Elite-powered computer. This one comes with an OLED panel. If you want to go for that model, you’ll be paying $1,500.

A fully specced-out model with 32GB RAM, 1TB of storage, the powerful Snapdragon X Elite SoC, and an OLED panel will cost you $2,100.
